Glass artist Nanda Soderberg takes beer bottles bound for the recycling bin and reshapes them into vessels that retain only a hint of their past lives. The amber glass goblets are upcycled from the necks of four beer bottles which Soderberg cuts to size heats in a kiln to make them pliable enough to reshape and heat-fuses gestural strokes of gold leaf to the surface of the stems. The resulting goblets retain a fluidity that reflects the upcycling process imbued with the preciousness of the interplay of glass and gold leaf.
