Inspired by this freeing sense artist Eileen Baumeister McIntyre created these leaf-like Silver Lining pendant earrings. Lined with a sterling silver "halo" each richly textured leaf is handcrafted of shibuichi a patinated Japanese silver and copper alloy that was once used to decorate Samurai swords. Eileen has studied both botanical illustration and metalworking and she draws upon the traditions of both to create her stunning jewelry. She draws her inspiration from her own garden often beginning with drawings or watercolors of the leaves seeds and petals she loves. She then uses precious metals to transform those impressions into wearable works of art. Handmade in Long Island New York. Essential Details: Handmade Item.
