The star is made from a repurposed broken cymbal made of a bronze alloy of copper and tin. The circular surround is made of wound recycled guitar strings made out of a combination of nickel and steel. The chain is made of antique-silver finish rhodium-plated brass. Each piece will differ to some small degree due to using found recycled materials and the handmade process. Handcrafted in Los Angeles. Star Charm: .75" L x .75" W Chain: 24" L Notes: The cymbal and guitar string are sealed with a coat of Renaissance Wax which protects the metals from moisture and oxygen to help prevent tarnish. Polish gently with a soft cloth. Keep away from excessive moisture. Some darkening of color of the cymbal and brass wire will occur naturally over time. Clasp is sterling silver and can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth if it becomes tarnished. Do not use silver polishing cloth on the chain.
